I notice sometimes Internet Explorer 8 has problems  displaying websites correctly like G-mail webmail buttons are all vertical instead of being horizontal like other web browsers like Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, etc.

I thought it was kind of strange that gmail would display buttons in the vertical position instead of horizontal layout, so what I did to make Internet Explorer 8 display website correctly by reseting IE8 to the default settings in the Advance settings which is the last tab in Internet Options for IE 8.

My best guest is Internet Explorer 8 settings got messed up somehow by me clicking on one of those weird notifications which tell me to turn on IE 8 security feature to make it more secure which cause a conflict with Gmail layout somehow because IE8 disabled a script or something on the gmail page. By reseting Internet Explorer 8 to factory settings it is usable again.

This tutorial also works for Web browsers like Avant Browser which uses the IE 8 browser as a base for its browser to run on.

Test out your new settings and see if you get the blueish tab back when you make a new tab.

I’ll show you how to get back the 9 most opened closed tabs in Internet Explorer 8 when you open a new blank tab. The 9 most opened tab links allow you to just click on a link to the website, and Internet Explorer goes to the website when you click on one of the 9 most opened tabs which you previously closed.  By default Internet Explorer 8 should be able to show you the 9 most opened closed tabs when you open a new tab, but sometimes another software, spyware, or another user changed Internet Explorer 8 to show a blank page or your homepage.  The 9 most open tab also gives you access to Internet Accelerators which are search engines like Bing, and other plug-ins to accelerator your browsing experience, and there also a link to an InPrivate browser window which does not log your browsing history or keep your temporary internet files.

Speed up wordpress load time

WordPress can slow down once you installed a lot of plug-ins since many plug-ins use Java script, and images which can slow down your WordPress loading time, and this will cause some of your visitors to leave especially the visitor who still use dial-up or slow internet connections on their computer.

Plug-ins also get in the way of reading content, and be very distracting, so it might also lead to less revenue since people click on your plug-ins and don’t notice your content, ads, and other promotional informations.

I used to have this problem on this blog with the background color load times which is the white color, so I decided to remove some plug-ins which I never use or most of my visitors don’t care about like “Alexa rank plug-in, Twitter update widget, and pagerank button.

Plus, when people click on those plug-ins, they go to Twitter, Alexa, page rank website, or other websites, so I could be losing some earnings since once they go on Twitter, Alexa, and Page rank website, or the plug-in’s website they are less likely to click the back button or stay on my site to read more blogs and click on an interesting affiliate link or donate to the blog since they left.
