Installing CommentLuv and TwitterLink Comment plugin to improve activity on WordPress or Blogspot blog

Comment luv twitterlink plugin

Ever wish more people will comment and visit your blog? I think it is the dream of most bloggers to have more visitors or comments.

Well, I just installed CommentLuv and TwitterLink Plugin from comluv download section. The commentLuv plugin retrieve blog titles from a commenters blog if they filled out the link field on the comment.  You can even register your link at comluv.com for more options like posting different posts instead of just your latest post.

Twitterlink plugin just adds a field to let people post their twitter account URL to their blog post reply.

These Plugins  are great for internet marketers and people who are into Search Engine Optimization! for their blog since it gives the commenter some luv since they can promote their website latest post and Twitter account.

A lot of commenter don’t just reply to a blog post if they get nothing in return. Letting commenters promote their latest post and Twitter account can be a nice incentive for them to comment on your articles on your blog.

I agree commentLuv and TwitterLink is a great way for newbies to get notice in the blogging world.

I have both comluv and twitterlink installed… its a better method of advertising yourself other than spamming comments with just links to your blog posts instead of actually commenting on the post itself. And its an easier way to quickly check out people’s latest posts without going through their entire blog

I agree using CommentLuv and TwitterLink is better way of self-promotion compared to adding links to a comment which can also look less attractive and CommentLuv and Twitter link is so easy to use. I just have to check the commentluv checkbox, and add my twitter user name to the twitterlink textbox, and I’m done.

Comment luv rocks, the internet wouldn’t be the same without it now..

  • Johnson Yip August 10, 2010, 4:22 pm

I agree Comment Luv is changing the way people are finding new content and blogs through comment links.

Blogging is absolutely a social phenomenon, where we can support one another and have everyone do well. It is not a zero sum game! Commentluv is a great example of the win win potential of blogging. By installing Commentluv, you are rewarding your commenters with “link juice”, but in return they are providing you with quality content for your blog.

    Thanks for sharing!

I agree blogging is one of the few tasks where you can be successful by networking with other bloggers, and guest posting unlike the E-commerce and social networking related sites. Comment luv is a great add-on since it let’s people share without being spammy.

I’ve read about commentluv for a while, but never really know how it would work for real, but now seeing Cindy’s comment, I think i get the idea.

  • Johnson Yip August 26, 2010, 10:20 pm

Thanks for the comment. I agree Cindy explained Comment Luv very well. I think of Comment Luv like a signiture for a forum member, but you can pick the post you want to share with other readers on a blog post.

Nice meeting another Vancouver citizen on my blog. It certainly is a small world when you can meet people from the same City we both live in which is rare for me.

Hi Johnson – Sometimes we have a “duh!” moment. I kept wondering why TwitterLink-Comments wasn’t showing up as an option on my CommentLuv-enabled comment form. For some reason, I thought it was included as part of the ComLuv plugin! Thanks for pointing out the obvious: download the (additional) plugin! 🙂

  • Johnson Yip September 7, 2010, 3:03 am

Hi Vernessa, I’m glad you figured out CommentLuv and TwitterLuv were two completely different plug-ins for wordpress. They both can be great Plug-in for getting your name known in the blogging community if you know how to use both plug-ins effectively like picking the right article to go with your comment in comluv, and if you have multiple twitter accounts, it might be best to use the twitter account which most readers on the specific article you are commenting will be interested in, or at least a more professional twitter vs. personal or twitter with lots of rants, Adult rated twets which can leave a bad impression of yourself to readers which can make a twetter less trustworthy which is never good…

Though dofollow approach helps to share link love, blogs owners need to be careful and have strong editorial discretion when approving comments. Matt Cutts from Google explains why you should pay attention. Google on Dofollow

  • Johnson Yip September 8, 2010, 7:48 pm

Indeed, bloggers need to visit the website link, and read the comment before approving comments. I just use Anti-Spam plug-ins which catches most of the Spam. Akismet, WP Captcha Free, and SABRE (Simple Anti Bot Registration Engine) are good wordpress plug-ins for preventing spambots, though they sometimes stop comments which look legitimate and puts them in the Wordpress Spam box.

Thanks for the video and comment. They are both very useful to view.

Hi, I agree with you Johnson, commentluv plugins plays a vital role in getting the traffic in blogs. At the same time there is a great chance to getting spam too. So what are the tools which are useful to filter spammers?

    Thanks & Regards

    Naresh

  • Johnson Yip November 25, 2010, 8:39 pm

You can use Akismet, and Captcha codes. You can also ban certain e-mail addresses and I.P. from posting on your blog if you have a lot of spam from a certain e-mail or I.P. address.
