Installing CommentLuv and TwitterLink Comment plugin to improve activity on WordPress or Blogspot blog

Comment luv twitterlink plugin

Ever wish more people will comment and visit your blog? I think it is the dream of most bloggers to have more visitors or comments.

Well, I just installed CommentLuv and TwitterLink Plugin from comluv download section. The commentLuv plugin retrieve blog titles from a commenters blog if they filled out the link field on the comment.  You can even register your link at comluv.com for more options like posting different posts instead of just your latest post.

Twitterlink plugin just adds a field to let people post their twitter account URL to their blog post reply.

These Plugins  are great for internet marketers and people who are into Search Engine Optimization! for their blog since it gives the commenter some luv since they can promote their website latest post and Twitter account.

A lot of commenter don’t just reply to a blog post if they get nothing in return. Letting commenters promote their latest post and Twitter account can be a nice incentive for them to comment on your articles on your blog.

I think this is a great idea for blogs since blogging is a social activity, so everyone should have fun reading interesting possts by other people by clicking links in the comment area.

    Hi Donald,

I agree, TwitterLink will be more popular as well as long as Twitter continues to have success in the Social Networking market.

I’ve got both installed on my blog. Last week I opened the Twitterlink table in my database and was horrified by the number of spam entries there are there. This needs to be improved to be cleaned when Akismet spams are trashed. Great tool though.

Askimet is a great plugin for filtering out spam. I notice a slight increase in spam after installing Twitterlink and Comment love, but I also seem toi have more comments to my topics these days.

It is a good idea to place Commentluv and Twitter on your blog, especially for twitter. Installing a Twitter Plugin and combining it with simple Twitter backgrounds and you’ve got yourself a winner of a blog.

I agree, but make sure the Twitter plug-in or widget does not slow down the loading time on the blog, or is too distracting when embedded on the blog.

I just leave a link to my twitter on the sidebar since it uses less space and is less distracting.

Comluv is a pretty good plug in. Now that it is getting established it will be a matter of time till we see what Google does in response to it.

Another way to increase the benefits of comluv for your visitors is to make sure you have nofollow disabled. This will lend them some juice as well and add value to the backlink.

  • Johnson Yip June 22, 2010, 10:52 pm

I agree Comluv is a good plug-in I also like to know what Google will do in response to this like how they have a Twitter feed on the search results.

I agree disabling NoFollow will give some Link Juice to the commenter, and a valuable backlink

Blog commenting is a popular method of building links to webpages. If a blog is not CommentLuv enabled, and the comment policy does not allow “deep links” to a website, you will only be able to use a root domain or profile as your URL. This means no links back to your article. Generally, even if you can leave deep links as your website, you can still only use your real (or nickname) as the link text that will be anchored to your article link, which gives it little keyword value.

Thanks for the comment and your knowledge on deep links. I learned a lot!

Great to see more and more people joining the ranks of bloggers who chose to reward commenters.

As one of the early promoters of the CommentLuv plugin I have seen HUGE benefits to my blog not only in terms of backlinks but also traffic from blogs where I have commented.

  • Johnson Yip August 2, 2010, 1:33 pm

I agree CommentLuv have given me more comments and backlinks in not a long time period. I now am getting closer to getting 300 comments compared to only 100 a few months a go. Thanks for the comment and your opinion on Comment Luv.
