Copying files from a temporary internet files folder or just a single website in Internet Explorer 8

Go to Internet Options in Tools Menu in IE.

Sometimes you forgot the address to your friends website, or it is down. You need a file from his website. You might still be able to get the file if it is still in Internet Explorer’s Temporary folder. It is very easy to retrieve files from IE Temp directory. I will be using Internet Explorer 8 for this tutorial. It is even simpler to save a single website with IE 8.

1. Go to Internet Options in Tools Menu in IE.

If you want to save an individual website, you can go to File or Page depending on your version of IE and Pick Save As from the context menu.

Save AS

A save box will pop up. For “save as type”, pick (Webpage, complete(*. htm, *.html).

(Webpage, complete, htm, html)

Now you can something to do if you suddenly lose your internet connection, you can just save a bunch of websites on your computer and view them instead of waiting for your internet to come back.
