Msconfig is a program for starting and stopping services and programs from loading in Windows, and also have tools for customizing Windows.
1. Right click your mouse an empty place on your desktop, and pick create short cut from the New menu.
2.copy and paste “msconfig.exe” without the qoutes into the Type the location of the item text box, click next.
3. Type System Configuration when you reach the next screen, and click finish.
Now you do not have to go to Start, run, and type msconfig. But, you still should learn this way of getting to Msconfig since it is useful to know. These commands should all work in Windows Vista, XP. But, I’m not sure about 7. They also work on the Windows Run Box.
