Today I couldn’t delete a file in Windows Vista on my computer because Windows won’t let me delete it for some reason, so I used a Ubuntu 9.04 live CD to start my PC, and Ubuntu let me delete the file from the Ubuntu file manager when I browsed to my Windows Directory on Ubuntu. Ubuntu does not care about NTFS Permissions, and the program/file won’t start up in ubuntu, so I can freely delete, copy, modify and paste any file I want. You can also use Ubuntu to delete viruses, spyware, and malware, in your Windows’ drive if you know where the harmful programs are located. But, be careful when deleting files in Ubuntu since once you delete them, they are gone forever since Ubuntu does not put your windows files in the Recycle Bin.
