How to automatically install more then one free software at the same time with just one installer @ ninite.com by just saving and running one small install program tutorial.

Ninite runs on Windows XP/Vista/7 and works
in the background 100% hands-free.

We install apps with default settings and
say “no” to browser toolbars and other junk.

All we do is install the latest versions of the apps
you choose. Not even Ninite is installed.

Ninite can be very useful for someone who clean install their operating systems, want to keep their free computer software up to date, help their friends and family install many  free programs on their computer. But, it probably be good for someone who has dial-up or slower internet connections since it will take too long to download all the install files to install the freeware programs. There are also not a lot of programs. I suggested a few free programs to them.

You can scroll down to the bottum of ninite page to suggest some more freeware to them.
Thoughts on Windows having little preinstalled software vs. Linux Distros. like Ubuntu 9.04
If only Microsoft was more like Linux Distros. which usually include the most commonly used programs preinstalled when you installed your OS, and the update manager installs updates for the user’s software. Sadly, Microsoft does not do this and requires 16 GB of freespace to install Microsoft Windows 7 while most Linux Distros. use less space like Ubuntu 9.04 only needs 8 GB of free space and Ubuntu comes with a word proccessor, spreadsheet program, slideshow presentation maker, graphics/paint editing program, music players, video player, sound recorder, ftp program, instant messanger, e-mail client, CD & DVD burning software, web browser, a few small games, etc. If you run Ubuntu off a CD or flash drive, Ubuntu does not even require a hard drive to run and you can still run all the preinstalled software on Ubuntu. Most of the software that comes with Ubuntu is decent like Gimp image editor, and Open Office. Plus, Ubuntu can read NTFS Windows partitions. You can also run Windows programs with WineHQ. Learn about Ubuntu Ubuntu tutorials for Beginners to Advance Computer users.
