Installing .deb files to install files in Ubuntu requires a few extra steps. You have to use the Glebi Package Installer to install programs in Ubuntu. It is very simple.
Note: Log in as a root or administrator account.
1. Double click or right click the .deb file and pick Open with “Glebi Package Installer”.
2. Click Install Packages Button on Package installer window.
3. you need to enter your user password. The installation will now begin.
