Run multiple Operating Systerms inside a host operating System

VMware Player is a free Virtualization program for everyone to use. It lacks some of the functions of the paid version, but is a good program to introduce people and companies to the advantages Virtualization have to offer.

  • Virtualization is the process of using software to run an Operating System within an Operating System without the need to reboot, format or partition your hard drive. You won’t risk ruining your Windows or Linux partition because the Virtual OS uses your Windows Drive instead of a separate partition like regular Operating System.
  • Learn Linux While using Windows.
  • The Disadvantage of VMware is that it is slower then a non-virtual Hard drive and 3D and special affects are not always available in the VM version.
  • VM is good for learning linux, and running multiple virtual servers on one computer.
