≡ Menu

Better organize your files and make them easy to access by using your Windows Desktop Start Menu’s task bar to access and launch your frequently used files, and programs. It is very east to make a startmenu taskbar toolbar. There is no programming, or editing required to do this tutorial. You just need to know how to use your computer mouse.

You first need to make a folder with your most used icons. I used my desktop folder since all the icons to my commonly used files, and programs are on my desktop.

All you have to do is right click your Windows Start Menu’s task bar and pick Toolbars then New toolbars.

 New toolbar

You now have to select your folder you want to use to make your toolbar.

Do you find that you have too many programs, files, and windows open which makes your files, desktop, and other programs hard to manage due to all the clutter? If you do then VirtuWin and the Iconized VirtuaWin Add-on is the right software for you. VirtuaWin is a virtual desktop maker for Windows. It is used to extend your desktop, so you can better organize your open programs. For example, you can put all your opened office files in one virtual desktop, all your opened media files in another desktop, and all your browsers in another desktop. It is similar to the “work-spaces and multiple desktops” you see in Linux based operating systems like Ubuntu, Fedora, and Mandrake.

But, it works for Windows 9x to Windows 7.

You can download VirtuaWin from  http://virtuawin.sourceforge.net/.

Iconized makes managing your numerous virtual desktops with VirtuaWin easier by creating a visual taskbar for the user to click to open their many applications.
