Best Music Audio Player Software for Windows 2011

I mostly use my computer for listening to music and audio files because it is so convenient to use the internet to find new music, and playback music while I surf the web. Plus, there are tons of great online radio stations and streaming music on the internet to listen to on Shoutcast, Pandora, Facebook, Myspace, YouTube, Purevolume, Sound Click and Last.FM.

Also, my 5.1 surround sound speaker system on my computer sound better then most of the speakers and head phones I own for my traditional music players like CD players.

In this post, I recommend you my favorite music/audio players which I use to listen to music, auido e-books, audio files, sound, net casts, and pod casts.

I mainly use Foobar2000 to listen to my music playlists because it is fast, easy to use, supports titles, artist names, and playlists. Plus, nothing is hidden or requires me a button to view my playlist. Foobar is incredibly stable and rarely crashes in Windows in my experience.

VLC is also a good player for using to listen to songs because of its small size, quickness, simplicity and low system requirements. I mainly use VLC to listen to one file, or just an internet radio stream while I surf the web rather then to listening to internet radio on my web browser. It also has a lot of settings and features for you to use if you like tweaking your audio playback.

Winamp 5 is a good audio player as well because you can use it to find shoutcast radio stations, and internet TV stations, Winamp is also simple to use, have playlist supports, fast, and has a lot of plug-ins. You can even use Winamp to stream music to a shoutcast server to start an INTERNET radio station for about 10 dollars a month or more by renting a shoutcast servers. Winamp also has a lot of custom themes/skins for you to install on Winamp if you want to use a different skin then the default or classic Winamp skin from Winamp 2.

What is your favorite music or audio player for Windows, and why?
