TFC Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer Cleans Temp Files from Windows

Temp File CleanerTemp File Cleaner TFC by OldTimer get rids of all your all users unneeded temporary files in temp, Internet Explorer, Java, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Apple Safari temporary folder full of temp files which waste disk space. TFC will display the space recovered from deleting un-needed temp folders from various locations on your Windows computer’s disk drive. Also, TFC can restart your computer if needed to clean temp files which other disk cleaner software program can’t delete. It works for both 32Bit and 64Bit Windows Operating Systems. Whenever, I run TFC after a few days I get back a few hundred MBs of free space after TFC helps me clean my temp files.

TFC requires no installation. You can run it right after you downloaded the 258.5KB software executable file for TFC.

TFC User Interface

TFC is incredibly easy and fast to use. there are no weird settings to configure. All you do is save all your work and close all your programs like MS Office, Notepad, etc before you begin. When all work is saved and programs are closed on your desktop. Press the Start button on TFC to start the disk cleanup. Your desktop and all the programs on your computer will be closed during the disk cleanup task in Temp File Cleaner, so it can clean your Temp files. For me TFC just takes a few seconds to clean my temp files, but it could take longer for you. When done, you might need to restart your computer. If you do not need to restart your computer, your desktop will be restored. However, you might need to restart your antivirus, antimalware, antispyware and firewall software if you are using a third party firewall program like Comodo instead of Windows default firewall. TFC only cleans out your temp folders; however, it will not clean out your URL history, prefetch, or cookies. It also does not clean your registry, so you do not risk damaging your registry or Windows operating system when you run TFC unlike other disk clean up utilities which have registry cleaners which can potentially break Windows or software installed on your PC if the registry cleaner deletes a important registry key.

If you need more free space, I recommend buying an USB external hard drive to store some of your rarely open or used files like photos. A 1 Terabyte drive should be enough to store a lot of files for years to come. I also recommend Western Digital Hard Drives since they are very reliable drives which I owned.

If you feel an USB External hard drive is too expensive, you can burn your files to DVD-R discs.

You just delete the TFC.exe file you downloaded from the TFC website. TFC is a file which can run without installing it like other disk clean up programs like CCleaner.

You can also move the TFC file to a flash drive to use at a later time.

Is there away to run this without a users interaction? Can I run it via command line controls to push via script maybe? We have thought about trying to make available for users to help themselves but noticed it requires UAC elevation to run. Has anyone come up with a “silent install” type usage of it?

I’m not sure if it is possible to run TFC without user interaction. I think TFC will close some programs while it is running, so it is best to run it with user interaction to prevent data lost.
