Shutting down and doing disk defrags are not very fun, but both are needed for keeping your computer in good shape. Wouldn’t it be great if you can combine the two tasks in one. Disk defrags can take hours, but you need to wait for the disk defrag to be done until you can shutdown your computer.
Wonderfully, Auslogic Disk Defrag, you can tell Auslogics to shut down your computer after the disk defrag is done by checking a check box. This will save you power since your pc will be off when Auslogics finish defragging your computers hard drive. Your computer also will be faster since now your hard disk’s files are organized, so they open and run faster.
Also, your RAM/ Random Access Memory will be refreshed, so all the junk files and gaps in it previously is gone ever time you shutdown and turn-on your PC.
Best of all, you can go to sleep or go out and not worry about your computer using electricity after disk defrag.

I recommend you do a disk clean up, uninstall software which you never use or plan to use, delete files which you will never open or use anymore, and run a scandisk and check disk before you do a disk defrag, so your disk defrag will be faster since it will have fewer files to defrag.
It is also recommended to have at least 20 percent free space before you run a disk defrag. If you do not have 20% free space back up your files to another hard drive and Burn them to DVD-R just in case your external drive breaks atleast you have a copy on DVD-R. It is best to have at least 2-3 copies of the same file on different storage devices like flash drive, CD-R, DVD-R, tape, and hard drive.
Lastly, run a scan disk before you do a defrag, so Windows fixes errors before a disk defrag.
By setting Auslogics to automatically shutdown after a disk defrag, you will be saving electricity and un-needed wear and tear on your computer fans, hard drive, and other mechanical devices inside your computer like your video card fans and CPU fan. Also, when your PC is offf, it won’t be sucking air, so your computer will be less dusty from sucking in dusty air.
