Stardock Deskscape 3 animated Wallpaper/Background customizer for Windows Video

Stardock Desk Scape 3 is an animated wallpaper/Background customize for Windows Operating Systems. It replaces the boring non-animated wallpaper that comes with Windows with a more exciting animated wallpaper which came with Desk Scape, or you downloaded off the internet. You can even make your own with Dream Maker which is an animated wallpaper utility which converts your video files to animated wallpaper installers. Desk scape does not use a lot of system resources on most newer low-end computers. For example, my computer with only 1.8 GHz CPU, 1GB of Ram, Onboard intel graphics, and using Windows 7 as its OS can run Desk Scape decently. You can stretch, tile, centered your video backgrounds. If you do not want your background to be animated, you can pause the wallpaper with a click of the mouse.

It costs Cost 19.99 for Full Version. The Free version only works for 30 days.

You use Dream maker to make custom animated desktop backgrounds.

If you have Windows Vista or 7 Ultimate, you can also try http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-vista/About-Windows-DreamScene

VLC also has a feature to make a video file your background, but you have to go into the options for VLC to configure it.

VLC background feature did not work on my PC. My best bet is my onboard video card is too old or does not support the feature.

Deskscape is the easiest to use, and cheapest compared to Windows Ultimate which cost 350 dollars.

This is a great program to use to relax, so every 20 minutes you look at your desktop. This way you are not always focusing your eyes on tiny text on your monitor. Plus, if you hire a professional 3D artist or film maker to help you create a custom animated logo or background for a trade show. Your logo might  not be forgotten as quickly since animation when done right can be more impressionable then static logo which don’t move. Most importantly, I find Desk scape fun to use. I can spend hours making a new background, or trying out other peoples animated desktops. It make boring days on the PC go by a lot faster.

Hi Ace, I think it is most likely a Windows problem with the date and time or the internal BIOS time is wrong on the motherboard.

I recommend reinstalling Deskscape or Windows.

    Thanks for the comment.
