Password strength calculator

I found a useful website for testing the strength of your password automatically. All you have to do is type in your password and it automaticallys tells you your score.

I got a 100% score by typing this password in PC|i@w32omeVsMAC  . It also tells users how to make complex passwords.

  • Minimum 8 characters in length
  • Contains 3/4 of the following items:
    – Uppercase Letters
    – Lowercase Letters
    – Numbers
    – Symbols
-change your password at least every 6 months or more
-Change your password at once if you suspect your computer or online accounts been hacked or infected with a virus, malware, spyware.
-scan your computer for malware, virus, and spyware programs weekly
-never store your password in a text file. I recommend using a password encrypted Zip file to store your password inside a text file protected by a password protected zip folder. WinZip, IZArc, and 7-zip all have password protection settings.
-Keepass also makes a good free password manager for Windows.
-There is a program called KeyScrambler which can encrypt your keystrokes in IE or Firefox web browsers to keep you safe from keylogging programs which can steal your key strokes while you type.
It is also important to change your password on a monthly basis. This is a great site.
