Sometimes the Uninstaller for AVG Anti-virus 2011 fails to work in Add/Remove programs AVG uninstaller or the AVG uninstaller shortcut in the AVG sub-menu in Windows start menu in Windows taskbar, and you can’t uninstall AVG which happened to me while trying to uninstall AVG 2011 antivirus with the regular AVG 2011 antivirus uninstaller which came bundled with AVG 2011 Free antivirus when I installed it on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.
AVG has a standalone uninstaller program for AVG 2011 which will work for uninstalling AVG 2011 if your computers AVG 2011 uninstaller which comes with AVG fails to uninstalls AVG 2011.
I used AVG uninstaller program called avg_remover_stf_x86_2011_1184.exe for Windows 32bit Operating System which completely deleted AVG’s files, programs, services, and registry keys off my computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit.
AVG remover is available for both 32bit and 64bit versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
AVG_Remover will automatically remove all of AVG files, settings, and Registry files made by AVG when you run avg_remover_stf_x86_2011_1184.exe by double clicking on it with your mouse Click Here to learn how to completely remove AVG 2011 from Windows, and tips on uninstalling other programs in Windows!

Recently, I have a problem where I could not delete Service Pack 1 backup files from Windows 7 Disk Cleanup utility. This was somewhat frustrating since I want back my 650MB of free space which the backup files took up.
However, I did not know what was wrong because Windows Disk Cleanup did not give me an error message. It just started the disk cleanup, but after I re-open disk cleanup there was still 650MB of used space which was being taken up by the Service pack back up files. I even try running Disk Clean up multiple times.
In this blog post, I’ll teach you how to turn on System restore, and other solutions for fixing “Can’t Delete Service Pack Backup files for Windows 7 Disk Cleanup” problem.
