In this video I show you the Kobo Vox eReader Tablet’s appearance and what it comes with built-in, ebooks, video playing on YouTube in High Quality mode, and me playing a game on it.

The Kobo Vox is a good choice for a 7 inch eReader tablet for beginners tablet users who just need a tablet for eBooks, web browsing, casual games,  video, music, and using some apps.

It has a 800MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 7 inch 1024×600 resolution screen which makes the Kobo Vox for playing HD video, watching online video, e-mail, text chat instant messaging, playing most casual game apps like Angry Birds, and Fruit Ninja. The battery life is up to 7 hours. You can also use headphones for private listening, or louder audio by plugging in speakers to the 3.5mm headphone jack. If you need more space, you can install a MicroSD card up to 32GB in size to increase your storage size for your personal files, or to put more eBooks on your Vox.

There are also real volume buttons on the side of the Vox which lets user quickly adjust the volume for audio on apps, music, and videos being playback on the Vox.

The Kodak Zi8 portable digital camcorder  is one of the best portable digital camcorders for making YouTube videos with since it is small, and easy to use, so most people who used a basic point and shoot digital camera can start recording digital videos in seconds. The Kodak Zi8 portable digital video camera is what I use to record most of my videos on youtube.com/johnsonyip1 which is my PC help video channel.

I like that I can keep it in my pocket, and record videos whenever I like, and don’t have to wait for it to startup, or unlock it like a smartphone. It is also less heavy, and the battery life is great.

The Built-in USB plug makes it very convenient for me to transformer my recorded video to my computer to upload to YouTube without any need for converting it since video are recorded in MOV video file format which is compatible with YouTube. I also like recording my video in 480P/WVGA because the file size is smaller, and uploads faster on YouTube, so I don’t need to wait hours for a 720P-1080P video to upload to YouTube, and I can use a 2GB SD memory card to upload to YouTube. It can also record in 720P-1080P, and take 5 Megapixels still photos. You can also use an external mic if you need a better mic to record audio for your video.

I have been using mostly Opera Mini 7 on my Kobo Vox eReader Tablet, and it is my favorite web browser because it is simple, clean, fast, and feature rich.

I like Opera Turbo which compresses images and HTML code to a smaller size at Opera’s server, and send it back to your tablet, smart phone, eReader, or cell phone, so it loads faster, and use less bandwidth, so if you are on a mobile data plan you are less likely to overuse the bandwidth, and be throttled down, or pay expensive bandwidth overage fee. Opera Mini can also make it possible for you to use free mobile internet from NetZero which offers 200MB free a month when you buy their mobile hotspot device.

I usually set the Image compression to low, so I also save space when storing images on my tablet. By loading smaller images which are compress, you also save bandwidth since they are smaller to download. You also might notice a performance boost if your phone or tablet has 256MB or less RAM since images which are compress use less RAM , and CPU power to load and display.  By using less bandwidth, your battery life might be slightly better since downloading can use a lot of bandwidth.

Opera Mini and Mobile is simple to download, install, and use. You can download it from Amazon, Google Play, Apple Apps Store, GetJar, and even directly from Opera.com website.

For Android, all you do is download the APK file for Opera Mini or Mobile, and open it in your download folder in Android with your web browser, or file manager, and agree to Opera’s permission by clicking next, and wait for it to finish. Next you click Open, and agree to Opera Terms of Service, and can start using Opera Mini or Mobile to browse the web faster, and more easily on a mobile device.

Opera Mini 7 has the ability to save more speed dial bookmarks on its homepage which means that once you save your favourite links to the homepage speed dial. You will never have to type in the link in the address bar again since you just tap on the speed dial button for the website you want to visit. It is also very easy to organize your speed dial by moving them to the top or bottom, or deleting unused speed dials which you don’t visit much.
