Using Patriot Xporter XT Boost 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive for Windows 7 Ready boost

I have been using the Patriot Xporter XT Boost 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive for Readyboost on Windows 7 for a few days.

By using a Fast Flash drive like the Patriot Xporter XT for Windows 7 ReadyBoost, my program start up times are shorter by a few seconds, and launching programs seem more responsive.

ReadyBoost with a fast flash drive gave my Windows 7 Home Premium computer with a 1.8 GHz CPU and “1GB” of DDR2 Ram a nice speed increase without having to open my computer to install more DDR2 RAM in my computer.

It is also very easy to turn on ReadyBoost for my flash drive since once I plug in the flash drive Windows 7 ask me if I wanted to use the drive for Windows 7 ReadyBoost. I can also turn it on by going into “Computer” and going to my Patriot Xporter XT properties and manually turn it on in the Readyboost tab. I can use all the memory on the flash drive, or set it to a lower amount if I also want to use the flash drive for storing files. You can also turn off ReadyBoost for your USB drive in the same tab, so if you need to use all the space for your files instead of Readyboost, you just turn off Readyboost on the USB flash drive.

ReadyBoost is also available for Windows Vista operating systems like Windows 7, so if you need a small speed boost in Vista, try using Readyboost especially if you only have 512MB to 1GB of RAM on Windows Vista.

Readyboost is a fast, simple, and cheap way to give your computer a noticeable performance boost if you rather not install or buy real RAM which can be difficult for computer newbies to install.

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a great, affordable, and reliable flash drive for Windows 7 ready boost which I highly recommend. Best of all, is it only cost 12 dollars or less on Amazon.

It’s hilarious that just one 8 GB card at Staples costs double to triple what you get for a pair at newegg. I still wonder how retailers manage to stay in business.

I agree Staples sell stuff way to expensive. I buy most of my office supplies at Amazon, Ebay, and Tiger Direct which have way better prices.

I had a Patriot X-Mini 8GB drive for nearly a year (from June 2008 to May 2009) and loved every day of owning it. It’s a fast, sturdy, dependable drive that you really can’t go wrong buying.
