List of free software which I used back in the Windows 98 days till Windows 7. These are the free software I like to use on my Windows and Linux computer for doing tasks like watching videos, office work, downloading, etc. Some software have both Linux and Windows versions of their software like Openoffice, Mozilla, Opera, etc. But, most software I listed is for Windows 2000-7. I would not post any software I would not use myself. This list of Freeware links will save you hours of searching on different websites for great free software to use on your computer. You will also save thousands of dollars instead of buying paid alternatives. But, if you got the cash, you should consider donating to the developers, or buying their full featured paid software if available like AVG paid version.
All software here I on Windows XP, Vista, and 7 + Ubuntu and they are virus and spyware free according to Avast 5, Spybot, Adaware, MalwareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware, A2free, SpywareTerminator and Trend Micro Online Virus scanner.
However, I can’t guarantee their safety since future versions might contain viruses due to some unethical programmer or some criminal who bought the company or domain name to spread malware. It is best to scan all installers for viruses, spyware, and malware with an antivirus and anti-malware program before installing them. I also recommend using virustotal.com online virus + malware scanner to scan for viruses, spyware, worms, trojans, and malware.
All software I listed I use myself, and tested or was recommended by me from trusted sources like friends and user reviews. I only post software which run well on my PC. I just don’t add any software I found online to this list. I only add programs I like and are safe. Using all the free software I listed below saved me probably hundreds to thousands of dollars since I did not have to buy paid alternatives. I recommend you donate money to the software developer or buy their paid product if you have the money.
First you should check out Ninite’s Free Mass Freeware downloader and installer available at Ninite.com . It will save you a lot of time if you have to install many free software. Sadly, it is missing a lot of freeware, so scroll down to the bottom of their website and suggest all your favourite freeware software that they do not have on their website. Hopefully, someday they will add more free software to their website installer for Windows.

Please leave links to freeware in the comment section onlt if your Freeware is free, spyware and virus free, and does not violate someones internet privacy, or computer. I will add your application and comment to the list once I checked it out for safety and privacy.
