I almost finish making most of my websites work well on Mobile devices like smartphones, and tablets. But, I still need to make JohnsonYip.com work better on mobile devices.

It may take a few days to completely convert JohnsonYip.com to work well on mobile devices because JohnsonYip.com is a basic HTML and CSS site which is not as easy to change as a website template for WordPress,Joomla, or Drupal where you just need to upload the template, and activate it in the control panel.

I most likely need to spend a few hours copying and pasting my content to a mobile responsive template which look good on a desktop and mobile template. I also need to copy my meta-tags to a HTML mobile responsive template to a HTML template.

I probably use Notepad++ to copy and paste my content to a new content which work well on both mobile and desktop devices.

I am currently in the process of looking for a mobile responsive template which looks good, and has a right sidebar.

I sometimes wish I used WordPress for JohnsonYip.com’s homepage. But, at least there are no plug-ins and CMS software to keep updated, secure, and HTML sites just work after they are installed. HTML sites also load very quickly, and can handle a lot of traffic without slowing down.

Getting an Asus Google Nexus 7 for Christmas

I’m so excited I’m getting a Google Nexus 7 tablet for Christmas. It is going to be great. I’ll finally be able to Skype with people I know since it has a webcam, microphone, and fast WiFi which is 802.11N

I also plan on getting a Bluetooth Keyboard for it because the Nexus 7 supports Bluetooth.

The tablet also is fast enough to play full 3D games.

I got a new Kobo Vox Colour eReader Tablet which is a great eReader for under 200 dollars. I like the high resolution screen which is 1024 x 600 compared to cheaper or similarly price tablets with 800 x 480 resolution screens. The MicroSD slot, and Kobo ebook store app is also nice since I can buy and download a lot of free books, and store them on a MicroSD card up to 32 GB. The Kobo Vox is also pretty light, and easy to use, and it can run Google Android Apps.

The Kobo Vox comes with a 800MHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, MicroSD slot, built-in speaker and headphone jack, USB connectivity, a 7 inch touchscreen, and volume up and down buttons. It is fast enough for ebook reading, HD video, music, audio books, casual games like Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, and most other 2D and some 3D games like Krazy Karts which is like Mario Kart, but with different characters.

I wish it has the Google Play Market installed, but the GetJar marketplace is pretty good with a lot of free apps.

The Kobo Vox screen is also pretty nice and bright. It is also a capacitive touchscreen, so no stylus is needed to use it. All you need to do is use your fingers as the stylus.

I think the Kobo Vox is a great inexpensive ereader tablet if the Amazon Kindle Fire or Barnes and Noble Nook Color Tablet is not available in your country. I got my Kobo Vox for 179.99 which is a good deal.

In other news, I fixed my computer from randomly freezing, and slowing down. All I did was plug my SATA drive cable for my hard drive into a different hard drive controller port on my motherboard. Now my computer works great again. Hopefully, my other hard drive controller I am using does not break otherwise I have to buy a Hard drive controller PCI card or change my motherboard to continue using my hard drive on my computer since I now only have 2 working SATA hard drive controller instead of 4 since 2 are broken.

I’m also running low on space on my hard drive, so I might need to buy an external hard drive for it to store more files. Most of the space on my hard drive is taken up by video files.

I also updated this blog theme to be readable on low resolution displays on older computers, and cheaper tablets and smartphones which are 800×600 or lower resolution.

I also might make an App for this blog in the future since I found a few simple drag and drop visual based app makers like Conduit’s mobile app maker.
